The benchmarks pitted D-Wave’s Stride hybrid solver, which runs on the Advantage2 system, against conventional classical computing techniques. It was discovered that classical solvers performed well on smaller, easier problems, but that as the situations became more complicated, their performance declined noticeably. On the other hand, better scalability was shown by the quantum-classical hybrid technique. The outcomes were clear: the hybrid solver improved threat mitigation by 9% to 12% and provided a time-to-solution that was at least 10 times faster.
