SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES), a global leader in semiconductors, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and post-quantum cybersecurity, has announced a significant second strategic investment in EeroQ. SEALSQ‘s “Quantum Made in USA” strategy, which aims to establish the company as a leader in the global competition for secure and scalable quantum technology.

The investment was made possible by SEALSQ’s a platform called SEALQUANTUM.com Quantum Investment Fund was established in 2025 with more than $100 million devoted to funding the next wave of quantum entrepreneurs through bootstrapping. Following an initial investment in December 2025, this most recent tranche highlights a growing collaboration focused at fusing SEALSQ’s well-established knowledge of secure silicon and post-quantum cryptography with EeroQ’s innovative hardware.

Solving the Scalability Bottleneck: The EeroQ Advantage

EeroQ’s distinctive quantum architecture, which makes use of electrons trapped on superfluid helium (eHe), is the foundation of this collaboration. EeroQ’s method provides a feasible and cost-effective way to scale from thousands to millions of electron spin qubits, in contrast to conventional superconducting or trapped-ion systems.

EeroQ’s answer to the industry’s infamous “wire problem” is among its most noteworthy technical accomplishments to date. EeroQ has shown a control architecture that can manage up to one million qubits with fewer than 50 physical control lines, whereas current quantum implementations sometimes call for thousands of individual physical control lines, posing significant thermal and engineering challenges. This innovation puts EeroQ at the forefront of the development of commercially usable quantum processors by drastically lowering power dissipation and system complexity.

Additionally, EeroQ’s technology is CMOS-compatible, which means that it can be produced using common semiconductor fabrication techniques that are already in use in the world’s silicon chip industry. This compatibility opens the door for quick commercial adoption and integration into current infrastructure, especially when paired with an incredibly small form factor that might make quantum processors as small as a thumbnail.

The “Quantum Highway”: A Vision for Vertical Integration

SEALSQ, the investment in EeroQ is an essential part of its Quantum Highway strategy, not just a financial gamble. A “Quantum Security Vertical Stack” a safe, uninterrupted route connecting post-quantum cryptography (PQC), classical computing, and future quantum processing is what this industrial vision seeks to establish.

Carlos Moreira, SEALSQ’s founder and CEO, said, “This expanded investment in EeroQ represents a significant milestone in SEALSQ’s Quantum Made in USA strategy and in the establishment of a Quantum Highway.” The business plans to provide end-to-end systems that meet the strict security needs of vital infrastructure, government agencies, and national defense by fusing EeroQ’s hardware with SEALSQ’s Quantum Shield QS7001 and VaultIC secure elements.

The two businesses want to construct a Proof of Concept (PoC) at the SEALSQ Quantum Center of Excellence in Geneva to showcase this capabilities. This platform will demonstrate the smooth integration of EeroQ’s quantum processing technologies, post-quantum resistant systems, and secure semiconductor hardware, offering a concrete road map for businesses assessing future-proof infrastructures.

A Growing Global Footprint and the “Quantum Corridor”

The “Quantum Made in USA” approach emphasizes American sovereignty, yet SEALSQ has a distinctly global reach. With a number of significant investments in Europe and the US, the business has been actively allocating resources throughout what it refers to as the Quantum Corridor:

  • Spain: To build a Post-Quantum Semiconductor Personalization and Test Center in Murcia, SEALSQ and its parent business, WISeKey International Holding AG, have committed about $12 million, with an additional €20 million from the Spanish government’s SETT.ES program.
  • Switzerland: PQC-secured blockchain identities will be incorporated into enterprise and financial systems through a $3.5 million investment in a Group.
  • France: It is anticipated that the purchase of IC’ALPS, a top ASIC design company, will speed up the manufacturing of customized, quantum-ready silicon.
  • Space & Logic: WISeSat has been deployed with $10 million.Space to create a constellation of satellites for worldwide encrypted communications after the quantum revolution. Investing in ColibriTD also aims to increase semiconductor wafer yields by utilizing quantum power.

The Road Ahead: Ethics, Engineering, and Financial Momentum

Another way that EeroQ sets itself apart is by its dedication to quantum ethics. Since 2018, the business, led by co-founder Faye Wattleton, has been investigating ethical frameworks for responsible quantum development, a mission that is consistent with SEALSQ’s objective of creating reliable, human-centric technological ecosystems. Chief Science Officer Johannes Pollanen, who recently finished building a 9,600-square-foot research and development facility in Chicago, and CTO Steve Lyon, a professor at Princeton University, are part of EeroQ’s technical leadership.

The robust financial performance of SEALSQ is indicative of this strategic drive. The business ended 2025 with more than 425 million in cash reserves, a 66% year-over-year rise in sales. Additionally, SEALSQ maintains a commercial pipeline that will surpass $200 million by 2028, indicating a strong market need for its secure and post-quantum semiconductor technologies.

Industry analysts warn that despite the excitement, there are still technical and materials science obstacles that will need to be overcome before quantum systems can be widely used commercially for several years. However, SEALSQ is putting itself at the forefront of the nexus between cybersecurity and next-generation computing by fusing secure post-quantum cryptography with cutting-edge qubit architecture.

The SEALSQ-EeroQ collaboration is a deliberate attempt to guarantee that the next generation of quantum computing is not just strong and scalable but also sovereign and safe, as the race for quantum dominance heats up globally. By means of its “Quantum Highway,” SEALSQ is constructing a future in which post-quantum, quantum, and safe classical processing may all coexist in a reliable, independent environment.
